Senior Backend PHP Engineer (Symfony)

What the job is about

We are looking for an innovative and ressourceful Reservoir Engineer who wishes to actively contribute to successful development projects in the energy transition.

You will work with integrated project teams composed of geophysicists, geochemists, and geologists to perform various subsurface studies. Your strong technical and analytical skills will be essential to conducting detailed analyses of production performance, building and using dynamic simulation models, and proposing optimized development plans.

You will leverage our innovative reservoir simulation software alongside other industry-standard tools.

You will report directly to the Geology Lead and will be based at our main office in the heart of the French Alps near Grenoble.

What you'll be doing

• Analyze geological, geophysical and petrophysical data from rock samples to well log data to assess subsurface reservoirs
• Develop statistic and dynamic reservoir models to predict fluid / gas production potential,
• Perform reservoir simulations to optimize well location and reservoir production
• Propose and apply creative workflows using cutting-edge technologies.
• Collaborate with geologists and geophysicists to build accurate reservoir models.
• Communicate effectively with collaborators at all levels, providing regular updates on project progress, challenges, and solutions.

Our ideal profile

• MSc or PhD in Reservoir Engineering, Geoscience.
• At least 5 years of industry experience with strong proficiency in reservoir simulation, modelling, and dynamic subsurface data analysis.
• Proven ability to integrate and analyze subsurface data for reservoir and well behaviour modelling using historical and proprietary data.
• Strong understanding of data measurement and calculation conditions, with preferred expertise in sedimentary petrology, petrophysics, sedimentology, and field geology.
• Demonstrated ability to foster effective collaboration with technical teams and partners in multidisciplinary settings.
• Proficiency in French is preferred.
