Job Summary

Join a leading retail pharmacy and healthcare company focused on innovation and exceptional customer care. Develop partnerships with global biopharmaceutical manufacturers to enhance market competitiveness and position the Company as the retail and specialty pharmacy of choice.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Partnership Development:
    Build and nurture relationships with global pharmaceutical manufacturers to establish and expand alliances in retail and specialty distribution markets. Lead efforts to secure access to Limited Distribution Drugs (LDD) for Specialty Pharmacy with designated manufacturers.
  2. Strategic Collaboration:
    Develop acquisition and adherence strategies for retail prescription products in coordination with internal support teams and manufacturer partners. Drive joint initiatives focused on Rx DTC marketing, adherence services, data insights, and innovative distribution strategies to boost sales for both the Company and its pharmaceutical partners.
  3. Contract Negotiation:
    Negotiate and finalize contracts with pharmaceutical manufacturers for service programs across retail and specialty segments. Align partnerships with Purchasing and Supply Chain objectives.
  4. Relationship Management:
    Act as the primary liaison between the biopharma industry and internal teams, including Pharmacy Operations, Legal/Contracting, Marketing, Clinical, Specialty, Digital, and other support functions.
  5. Business Intelligence:
    Leverage internal and external data to identify new business opportunities and implement proactive strategies.

Basic Qualifications

  1. Education & Experience:
    Bachelor’s Degree with 6+ years of account management experience in the pharmaceutical industry or trade relations, OR High School Diploma/GED with 9+ years of relevant experience.
  2. Strategic and Operational Expertise:
    Proven ability to develop strategic initiatives aligning with business goals and budgets. Experience leading initiatives in pharmacy marketing, pharmacy sales, pharmacy benefit management, and/or managed care.
  3. Industry Knowledge:
    Familiarity with the pharmaceutical manufacturer business segment, including cost variables.
  4. Negotiation & Collaboration:
    Experience negotiating contracts and resolving vendor issues. Demonstrated ability to collaborate with internal and external resources to meet objectives.
  5. Technical Skills:
    Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  6. Leadership & Decision-Making:
    5+ years of experience contributing to financial decisions. 5+ years of direct, indirect, or cross-functional leadership.
  7. Travel Requirements:
    Willing to travel up to 50% for business purposes.
