Let us introduce the role.
AWE is currently recruiting for a French based Security Specialist for the Security Operations Group at EPURE, France. We are looking to expand the team of security professionals to protect AWE's information and assets through education and awareness and the application of procedures and assurance. Please be aware that this is not a manned security role.
Key Accountabilities:
- Apply AWE/MOD security policies and any other relevant standards in a way that best supports the needs of the company, whilst remaining compliant with all mandated requirements.
- Support planning and conduct assurance activity as necessary to ensure the correct application of security policies and standards.
- Deputise for the Site Security Manager, as necessary.
- Maintain and promote security behaviours and practices within your area of responsibility, ensuring alignment with safety, health, and quality requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the authorship of new security policies and processes.
- Assist with ongoing reviews of existing security policies and processes to enable the maintenance of security standards that are both proportionate and relevant to the threat.
- Assist in the management and mitigation of security risks and vulnerabilities.
- Assist in the assessment of security performance, to include conducting audit and assurance activity, and influence relevant personnel to undertake corrective action where improvements are needed.
- Assist in the planning, conduct and review of security operations and training as appropriate to the role.
- Support Company projects, including through engagement with stakeholders, and through the provision of proportionate and relevant advice and support.
- Act as a first point of contact for Security related IT and Information Assurance queries.
- Deliver in person and virtual Security related cultural interventions and training.
- Fulfil any other reasonable duties aligned to your position from time to time in line with business needs.
Who are we looking for?
We do need you to have the following:
- A strong attention to detail.
- The ability to pivot between priorities whilst working on concurrent workstreams.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- An inquisitive, solution focused approach to your work.
- A working understanding of French or a willingness to learn.
Whilst not to be considered a tick list, we would like you to have experience in some of the following:
- You can come from any regulated background with experience in producing, analysing, or amending reports.
- Information and IT Security.
- The ability to read and understand documents and apply the appropriate classification.
- An assurance background.
You will need to have the ability to work calmly and constructively in a priority changing environment and be able to manage your own workload. You will also have initiative, enthusiasm, a flexible approach, and ability to work to tight deadlines.
