RESPONSIBILITIES AND FUNCTIONS
- Define the necessities, improvements and maintenance strategy of the control and communications systems in the Continental Europe Offshore Hub, to guarantee the highest assets availability, compliance with regulatory requirements and best service quality following industry practices and standards.
- Identify the business technical risks related to the control systems, SCADA and communications systems condition and propose necessary actions/plans to mitigate those risks as much as reasonably possible.
- Implement and supervise the required corrective and preventive maintenance activities to maintain/recover asset availability/reliability either on his/her own or through contractors.
- Assess any technical issue related to the control systems, SCADA and communications systems, carrying out Root Cause Analysis and proposing/implementing necessary actions to avoid any re-occurrence.
- Deploy necessary actions to comply with any regulatory requirements that may apply.
- Coordinate related maintenance activities with offshore site technical teams to guarantee right execution timescales and works quality, as well as compliance with applicable H&S rules.
- Extend any lessons learnt and identified best practices to other Offshore Hubs.
- Define, alongside new Offshore projects teams and SCADA, Comms and Cybersecurity Lead, the best technical solutions for new offshore projects under development and construction to guarantee best performance and maintainability condition after the Commercial Operation Date starts.
- Coordinate maintenance strategies for control and comms systems with other Offshore O&M Hubs (UK and USA) to implement uniformed, global and standardized solutions.
- Prepare Scope of Works and Suppliers Technical Evaluations, playing an active role during procurement processes to ensure the most technically qualified providers are selected.
- Manage efficiently the maintenance contracts for which he/she is responsible, striving to reduce maintenance costs and contributing to maximize business EBITDA.
- Interact with Global Technical Services, Offshore site teams, Original Equipment Manufacturers, certification and regulatory bodies as required.
- Manage personnel under self remit, identify training needs and implement necessary actions to fulfill those gaps.
EXPERIENCE
- In Design, programming, management of PLCs, SCADAs and distributed control systems (>5 years).
- On Cybersecurity applied in OT environment (>2 years).
- In contract management (>3 years).
- In leading international projects related to Control systems (>5 years).
LANGUAGES
- French: fluent.
- Spanish is a plus.
