Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced IT Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will combine expertise in infrastructure, network management, ERP systems, and cybersecurity. Operating within a matrix reporting environment in a production location, the IT Manager will play a crucial role in aligning IT initiatives with business objectives, driving standardization and innovation, and ensuring the seamless operation of our technology infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Infrastructure Management:
Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of robust IT infrastructure to support the organization's operations, including shopfloor (machine connectivity) IT. Ensure the availability, reliability, and scalability of network systems, servers, and storage solutions. Implement best practices (CIS framework) for operations, disaster recovery, data backup, and system redundancy. Manage, optimize, and secure the organization's network infrastructure, including LAN, WAN, VPN, and wireless networks. Collaborate with the Global infrastructure team on IT standards.
  2. ERP Experience:
Lead the ongoing management of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems and related Enterprise Applications. Work closely with (regional) colleagues, vendors, consultants, and internal stakeholders to prioritize and execute ERP initiatives effectively. Contribute to the development of our long-term ERP strategy and roadmaps, ensuring alignment with business objectives and technological advancements.
  3. Cybersecurity:
Implement the Hunter Douglas Global cybersecurity strategy to safeguard the organization's digital assets and sensitive information. Collaborate with the Global Cyber Security team on all matters cyber-related. Review regular security assessments, vulnerability scans, and penetration tests to identify and mitigate potential risks.
  4. Team Leadership:
Act as the senior IT professional in the environment, leading by example, developing less experienced colleagues where appropriate. Establish clear goals and expectations, and monitor IT performance to ensure timely delivery of IT initiatives. Foster a culture of innovation, excellence, security-by-design, and continuous improvement within the IT function.
  5. Business Partnership:
Serve as a strategic business partner, collaborating closely with key stakeholders to understand their technology needs and align IT solutions with organizational goals. Participate in cross-functional meetings and initiatives to provide IT expertise, insights, and recommendations for business process optimization. Communicate IT initiatives, progress, and challenges to executive leadership and departmental heads in a clear and concise manner.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Business & IT management, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
  2. At least 5 years experience in IT management roles, with a focus on infrastructure, machine connectivity, network administration, ERP systems, and cybersecurity.
  3. Proven experience with managing IT budgets and 3rd party IT providers.
  4. Strong technical expertise in networking protocols, server administration, virtualization, cloud computing, and cybersecurity principles.
  5. Hands-on experience with leading ERP platforms (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics) and proficiency in ERP customization, configuration, and integration.
  6. Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to inspire, motivate, and empower cross-functional teams to achieve common goals.
  7. Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  8. Strategic mindset with a keen understanding of business processes, industry trends, and emerging technologies. Relevant professional certifications (e.g. Azure Administrator, CISSP, CCNP, PMP) would be an advantage.
  9. Fluency in the English language essential, both written and orally.

Working Conditions:

  1. This role operates in a fast-paced corporate environment, requiring flexibility, adaptability, and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  2. Over time, we expect the role to become less operational and more of a strategic IT business partner role.
  3. Occasional travel may be required to support global IT initiatives and collaborate with regional teams.
  4. The role has potential for growth in the wider context of the Hunter Douglas group of companies.
