Remote Audit Manager

Job Overview

Our client is working with a small CPA firm with a concentrated audit practice. The hire will conduct financial statement audits of US companies. They will report directly to the partner. With the exception of partner review, they will be working on their own. They will work directly with the audit clients to gather information, prepare workpapers, and prepare financial statements.

This person is going to be assigned financial statement audits of US companies. The person will handle the entire financial statement audit, starting with drafting the engagement letter through the drafting of the financial statements. This person will report directly to the partner.

Responsibilities:

• Delivering quality auditing services to clients and their stakeholders.
  
• Demonstrating a thorough understanding of complex accounting and auditing concepts and apply them to client situations.
  
• Collaborating to plan engagement objectives and an audit strategy that complies with professional standards and appropriately addresses risk.
  
• Performing field work, manage engagement economics and inform supervisors of the audit engagement status.
  
• Developing and maintaining productive working relationships with audit client personnel, assess audit clients' satisfaction and proactively maintain contact with the audit client throughout the year.

Qualifications, Skills and Key Competencies:

• Experience working as a financial statement auditor performing US GAAP audits for a minimum of 7 years.
• This person has to be able to work on their own.
  
• Must have a solid understanding of audit fundamentals, financial statement assertions, and common audit tests for those assertions.
  
• Must have strong English skills.
• Strong public accounting assurance and auditing skill.
  
• Strong leadership and project management skills.
  
• Strong self-management skills.
  
• Challenge audit procedures used in the past and attempt to enhance audit techniques.
  
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  
• Integrity within a professional environment.
  
• Able to manage multiple engagements and deadline-driven.
  
• Strong work ethic.
  
• Undergraduate degree in accounting.
  
• Masters degree in accounting preferred.

• This person needs to be able to push projects to completion and not be required to be pulled through projects.
  
• Very comfortable with Microsoft Office platform of products.
