Context :
The Regional Procurement Manager will play a vital role in driving the procurement strategy and operations for the region. In addition to overseeing procurement activities, cost-saving initiatives, and supplier quality management, the Regional Procurement Manager will handle procurement finance reporting by collecting, compiling, and analyzing financial metrics. The Regional Procurement Manager will provide data, KPIs, and analysis to the regional finance team to support financial planning and performance assessment. This role also involves leading ad hoc projects, such as establishing a new office in Paris and implementing a business trip management system. The Regional Procurement Manager will report hierarchically to the GGF (CEO) of the Knauf Western Europe & Israël (KWEI)region. Country Procurement Managers will report functionally to the Regional Procurement Manager
Key Responsibilities :
Regional Leadership & Coordination:
• Supervise and coordinate the country procurement heads, who report to the Regional Procurement Manager functionally.
• Define and achieve regional procurement targets in collaboration with the GM, local procurement units, and Regional Procurement Manager.
• Lead and drive the responsibility for cost savings within the region.
• Oversee all procurement activities across the region, including the pooling and management of regional purchasing resources.
Strategy & Best Practices:
• Implement and share best procurement practices among countries in the region.
• Initiate and lead regional procurement projects, ensuring alignment with corporate strategies.
• Monitor local and regional market trends to adapt procurement strategies effectively.
• Support global category management efforts by assessing and approving suppliers within the region.
Compliance & Standards:
• Ensure compliance with global standards and procurement policies across the region.
• Enforce supplier quality management practices in all countries within the region.
Communication & Networking:
• Foster excellent communication between global procurement, regional teams, and individual country teams.
• Act as a liaison between local procurement units, global procurement, and the regional office to ensure streamlined processes and policies.
Supplier Management:
• Drive supplier quality management and support in qualifying alternative suppliers as per global category requirements.
• Maintain strong relationships with suppliers, ensuring adherence to quality and performance standards.
Procurement Finance Reporting:
• Collect, compile, and analyze procurement financial metrics to provide insights on procurement activities.
• Lead alignments on procurement topics Global / Region / Countries.
• Prepare data, KPIs, reporting and analysis for the regional finance team, ensuring that financial reporting aligns with organizational goals.
• Support finance teams by delivering accurate, timely data that assists in budgeting, forecasting, and performance assessment for procurement activities.
• Responsible of Procurement Sustainability scope 3 in liaison with Sustainability Team & countries leads.
• Responsible for Suppliers Quality Management
Regional Team Procurement operational activities
• Take the lead on special projects, including establishing new offices, such as an upcoming office in Paris.
• Oversee the implementation of systems to enhance operational efficiency, such as a business trip management system.
• Proactively identify & lead projects to generate procurement synergies & procurement savings (e.g regional team regional processes, optimization of company car fleet…)
• Ensure efficient & effective procurement processes with countries and Shared Services where applicable.
