Overview

Mitel is seeking a strategic and performance-oriented Southern Europe Regional Director to drive the execution of high-impact go-to-market strategies across France, Italy, Spain, and Portugal. Reporting to the Group Director, International Marketing, this role plays a critical part in aligning global strategy with local execution to accelerate pipeline creation, customer lifecycle engagement, and key channel partner success.

This position is accountable for delivering comprehensive, data-driven marketing programs that target both direct and partner-led opportunities—combining demand generation, Account-Based Marketing (ABM), and customer-centric lifecycle campaigns. The successful candidate will lead regional execution across the Southern European territory while actively contributing to the broader international marketing strategy, in close collaboration with the Southern European RVP and local Sales Leaders.

Key Responsibilities

Go-to-Market Strategy, Planning and Reporting

  • Develop and own the regional marketing strategy across Southern Europe, ensuring alignment with global marketing campaign priorities and local sales requirements.

  • Translate global campaigns into actionable regional plans, adapting messaging and execution to local market dynamics and nuances as needed.

  • Drive quarterly and annual planning and review cycles with Southern Europe marketing and sales teams.

Demand Generation and ABM Execution

  • Lead the regional ABM strategy, working closely with Sales and BDR teams to identify, reach, engage, and convert high-value accounts through 1:1, 1:few, and 1:many ABM tactics.

  • Lead the execution of regional demand generation programs across digital, events, email, social, and partner-led channels.

  • Leverage Marketing Ops support for use of account based intent data, account and buying team data, reporting dashboards, and website insights to develop, execute and course-correct campaigns.

  • Track and optimize campaign performance through marketing automation and CRM platforms, ensuring clear attribution and ROI.

Channel and Partner Marketing Enablement

  • Plan and execute quarterly and annual co-marketing initiatives with top-tier partners and distributors using Joint Marketing Funds (JMF).

  • Support the recruitment, onboarding, and enablement of strategic partners through customized campaign assets, partner communications and events.

  • Align closely with partner managers to activate strategic accounts and accelerate shared pipeline goals.

Customer Lifecycle Marketing

  • Develop lifecycle campaigns that enhance customer onboarding, usage, and satisfaction while supporting cross-sell and upsell initiatives.

  • Localize content and programs mapped to key customer journey stages—from acquisition to retention and advocacy.

  • Support regional customer marketing initiatives, including event participation, success stories, and referral campaigns.

Regional Team Leadership & Collaboration

  • Lead, coach, and develop the Southern European marketing team to achieve operational excellence and strategic impact.

  • Foster a collaborative, data-first, and agile team culture that thrives on performance and continuous improvement.

  • Contribute to the International Marketing leadership team and ensure alignment with global brand, content, and digital strategies.

Qualifications

Experience & Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications or a related field; an MBA is a plus.

  • 5–8+ years of B2B marketing experience in SaaS, UCaaS, telecommunications, or IT sectors.

  • Proven experience managing regional marketing programs across multiple countries and languages.

  • Demonstrated success in Account-Based Marketing (ABM) program design and execution, in collaboration with Sales.

  • Hands-on experience with Salesforce, Marketo, and intent data/ABM platforms such as 6Sense, Demandbase, or equivalent.

Leadership Capabilities

  • Strong team leadership and people development skills, with a track record of managing high-performing regional teams.

  • Ability to influence and align cross-functional stakeholders, including Sales, Partner, Content and Product Marketing teams.

  • Operates with a collaborative mindset, while demonstrating initiative and ownership in fast-paced, matrixed environments.

  • Experience managing external agencies and marketing service providers to deliver high-quality outputs.

Marketing Expertise

  • Deep understanding of full-funnel marketing execution—from awareness through to conversion and expansion.

  • Expertise in planning and delivering integrated campaigns that drive pipeline and measurable outcomes.

  • Strong knowledge of the B2B buyer journey, content mapping, and multichannel orchestration.

  • Comfortable with using data and analytics to inform decision-making and demonstrate marketing impact.

  • Experience in co-marketing and partner enablement programs.
