We currently have an opportunity within SPIE Oil & Gas Services Qatar LLC.
SPIE is undertaking a significant Process Gas Chromatographs replacements and upgrade project, involving over a 100 complex analysers. The QMI Project Engineer will be part of the Minor Projects section of Qatar Shell GTL, which is responsible for projects engineering, construction, and commissioning aspects of all minor projects. The incumbent will be responsible for the development of projects engineering and construction packages, inspections, test procedures, SATs, commissioning & maintenance spares, and as-built documentation related to Complex Analysers and associated sampling systems, Instrumentation, and electrical requirements.
The candidate should be a university graduate in Instrumentation Engineering/Electrical Engineering or equivalent with at least 15 years of experience in the oil & gas/petrochemical industry covering QMI project engineering, detail design, installation, commissioning, testing, and maintenance. His/her experience shall cover project planning, installation, FAT/SAT, commissioning of QMI packages, specifically process gas chromatographs, and its sampling systems, data communication network, AMADAS, and analyzer houses safeguarding systems.
Other necessary experience includes proven facilitation experience, good presentation and writing skills, appreciation of cultural diversity, and a focus on continuous learning and improvement. The candidate should have knowledge of Design Engineering Practices and international standards applicable to QMI projects and maintenance. The incumbent shall have the ability to work in a team in a multicultural environment and must be able to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization. Fluency in both written and verbal English is mandatory.
You will have good interpersonal and organizational skills, as well as a good level of computer literacy and be proficient in Microsoft Office.
