The VP Global Sourcing and European Operations is responsible for the worldwide procurement of all external finished goods, subcontracting, raw material, MRO, and components. This includes all jewelry segments : High Jewelry, Fine Jewelry, Icons, etc.
He / she leads new product development for European made goods, ensures we meet our quality standard & timeline, enhance engineering standards, to achieve the targeted growth of Tiffany High Jewelry and Fine Jewelry.
He / She helps support the elevation of our global performance identifying and leading best practices development emerging from his geography – craftsmanship, agility, technique, process, sustainability, gross margin.
He / She is a member of the Global Industrial Leadership team for Tiffany & Co.
Global Sourcing & Europe Planning
- Drive and implement a global supplier strategy and lead operations of the European Sourcing Office and the North American Sourcing Office.
- Lead supplier relationships and key partnerships.
- Leverage category domain expertise to develop new and potential vendors, including input to the company Make vs Buy process. Support our internal workshops to maximize ramp-up and develop new capabilities.
- Develop strategy, goals, and savings targets for assigned categories in line with company strategy and procurement best practices.
- Drive sustainable savings across the finished goods, subcontracting, raw material, MRO, and components categories.
- Lead cost reduction and productivity improvements, leveraging new product development negotiations.
- Strengthen and optimize the internal Europe Manufacturing capacity in collaboration with the US team.
- Build the production capacity of our Europe suppliers in anticipation and monitor suppliers’ operations to deliver on-time.
- Contribute to the optimization of lead time.
Product Development, Technical Expertise, and Industrialization (Europe)
- Lead the HJ pieces development project in collaboration with Design, Marketing, Quality, Workshop, etc.
- Support the JDIW on-the-ground and process project to integrate new fine jewelry products.
- Accelerate development process robustness and agility.
- Support in technical expertise in High and Fine Jewelry over the entire product life cycle, develop TCO HJ technical standards, optimize HJ designs and manufacturing to reach retail targets & quality standards.
- Lead industrialization and production optimization initiatives with European workshops, according to the global industrial strategy.
- Contribute to establishing a top-tier manufacturing setup by promoting industry practices in craftsmanship, agility, technique, process, sustainability, and optimizing gross margins.
Performance & Admin
- Consolidate & report EU manufacturing activity.
- Develop macro KPIs to track, improve, prioritize and compare performance.
- Manage compliance, finance, logistics & customs rules / requirements.
Leadership and Staff Development
- Manage, coach, and develop the team.
- Actively participate in recruitment to identify talent to maintain appropriate levels of critical skillsets and high potential performers.
- Align departmental objectives with team development goals and performance expectations to maximize staff potential through participation in projects, assignments, and the performance management process.
- Develop a positive and collaborative work environment.
Profile :
- General or Mechanical Engineer.
- Minimum 15 years' experience ideally in jewelry or fashion.
- Skilled in sourcing, manufacturing, product development.
- Experience in team management. Experience at the international level.
- Strong ability to negotiate and lead projects.
- Good interpersonal skills. Strong ability to build and develop close, trust-based relationships.
- English and French Mandatory. Italian is a plus.
