We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Data Analyst with expertise in Python programming and a solid understanding of finance and financial instruments.
As a Python Expert - Financial Data Analyst, you will play a crucial role in transforming raw financial data into actionable insights. Your primary responsibility will be coding in Python to process, analyze, and model data related to financial markets and instruments. You'll collaborate with our finance team to apply quantitative methods to real-world financial challenges, contributing to data-driven decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
- > Write efficient and scalable Python code to process large datasets.
- > Develop models for risk analysis, performance analysis, and financial forecasting.
- > Develop and maintain Python scripts for data extraction, cleaning, transformation, and analysis.
- > Ensure data integrity and scalability of the models and pipelines by adhering to best coding practices.
- > Collaborate with the finance and product teams to translate financial data into business insights.
- > Clean, transform, and validate data from multiple sources.
- > Create automated pipelines for data extraction and analysis.
- > Design and deliver reports or dashboards using Tableau or similar tools.
- > Work with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS) for data processing and analysis.
Qualifications
- > 3+ years of professional experience working with Python in a data-centric role.
- > Strong understanding of financial markets, financial products, and financial data.
- > Experience with data analysis libraries (e.g., Pandas, NumPy, Matplotlib) and SQL.
- > Proven ability to work with large datasets and complex data transformations.
- > Knowledge of financial instruments such as stocks, bonds, derivatives, etc..
- > Familiarity with Tableau or other data visualization tools (a plus).
- > Comfortable working in a cloud-based environment (AWS preferred).
- > Good English spoken is a must.
- > Passion for the financial industry and a strong understanding of financial products and services.
