Purpose
We are looking for a motivated Purchasing and R&D Legal Counsel to support IDEMIA business segments of the IDEMIA Smart Identity (ISI) Division. You will develop a strong role as a business partner within the Division’s key players (notably Purchasing Manager, Sales Manager, Bid Manager, Finance, Program Manager,…).
The position will be based at IDEMIA's headquarters in Paris-La Défense, France.
Your mission will be to provide qualified legal and contractual support to the ISI business, and thereby contribute to achieving ISI targets and business growth, profitability and risk control, to protect investment in technology, know-how and marketing, to ensure handling of information of ISI and others with the proper degree of care, and to support the ISI team in securing compliance in operations with relevant local and international regulations in the field of data privacy, ethics and compliance or antitrust.

Profile & Other Information
You have a strong background in commercial law and contracts.
You have experience and interest in other areas of law such as R&D and other collaborative agreements, grant agreements, IP and trademark issues, and data privacy and protection and be prepared to cover those areas as and when required.
You have excellent oral and writing skills in English. Solid knowledge of another language (Arabic for instance) is a plus.
Curious and rigorous, you know how to resolve legal issues on technical subjects.
Education: Master’s degree in business law / contracts law, ideally supplemented by a specialization in new technology law and / or experiences made abroad.
Experience: 5 years of legal and contractual experience obtained in a legal department of an international group or an international law firm, ideally linked to new technologies, data protection and / or major international industrial projects, with broad experience in public procurement.
Additional information: Occasional travel for contract negotiations.
