What to Expect:

Tesla is seeking an all-round France based public policy and business development manager to join its growing Energy EMEA team. In this role, you will play a critical role in shaping and influencing the political, regulatory, and fiscal frameworks that support Tesla Energy’s mission primarily in France. Your focus will be on advancing the growth of Tesla’s Energy products like Megapack, Autobidder, Powerwall, and EV charging in this market, including supporting the market entry of Autobidder. Over time, you may transition to other countries in the region to achieve the same objectives.

To be successful in this role, you should be passionate about Tesla’s mission, possess strong communication skills, and combine strategy and detail. Extensive experience with French legislative and regulatory advocacy is needed, combined with sound understanding of the French energy markets.

What You’ll Do:

• Lead policy and regulatory engagement processes on energy related matters concerning Tesla’s storage, demand-side flexibility, including V2X, and market optimization products.
• Manage day-to-day relationships to maintain and grow high impact network within key public stakeholder offices, industry partners and trade associations.
• Proactively identify regulatory opportunities and barriers and resolve them.
• Provide internal impact assessments of policy changes on Tesla energy related business, as well as recommended actions, to Tesla leadership.
• Work with other national Tesla policy, regulatory and commercial staff to ensure consistent positioning, policy preferences and actions.
• Support in relevant policy matters across Tesla’s other EMEA markets.

What You’ll Bring:

• 5+ years of experience in public policy, government affairs, or a related field, within the energy market in France. Experience within battery storage and demand-side flexibility is considered a plus.
• Proven track record of successfully influencing policy and/or regulatory outcomes and working with government bodies and industry stakeholders in France. Experience in other markets in the area is a plus.
• You have a background in Public Policy, Political Science, Law, Economics, Engineering, or other relevant fields.
• You are committed to Tesla's mission, and you have a hands-on attitude, tenacity, and strong problem-solving skills.
• You have demonstrated personal integrity, coming with trustworthiness, commitment to excellence and you are an eager team player.
• Strong proficiency in English and French communication and strong negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Knowledge of another European language is advantageous.
• Willingness to travel as needed (20% travel).
