We are looking for a Project Logistics Coordinator for one of our clients with the following details:

Duration: 4 months, starting as soon as possible.

Renewable: Yes

Location: Paris, France

Job requirements:

  • Engineering or Bachelor's / Master's degree in International Trade and/or Logistics.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience managing logistics / freight forwarding activities, including container shipping, in any industry.
  • Good understanding of QHSE best practices.
  • Ability to travel frequently on sites in Europe (pipe mills, coating plants) when needed.
  • Fluent in English, able to communicate with stakeholders based in the USA.
  • Driving licence (5 years minimum).

Key responsibilities:

The Project Logistics Coordinator should have strong knowledge of international freight forwarding, road freight transportation and booking operations in order to support the efficient, timely and accurate delivery of Transportation & Logistics services during project execution.

The Logistics Lead key responsibilities will be:

  • Planning and coordination of shipments from Europe:
  • Collecting all the necessary documentation (material test certificates, invoice, packing list, inspection release notes etc.) for international transportation.
  • Proceeding to freight booking in interface with the Freight Forwarder.
  • Ensuring compliance with local and international regulations.
  • Verifying and approving the documentation (Dispatch dossier, Forwarder's Certificate of receipt, HBL etc.).
  • Ensuring compliance with delivery times.
  • Racking and follow-up of delivery on site in the USA:
  • Ensuring that all the relevant documentation is uploaded into the Operations tracking tool.
  • Follow-up of operations with Freight forwarder on site.
  • Reporting of the activities both internally and externally.

Communication and customer service:

  • Ensuring a smooth communication and collaboration with client, suppliers and other stakeholders.
  • Solving problems related to bookings and shipments.
  • Updating information and schedules in the dedicated software.

Budget and cost Management:

  • Monitoring the costs engaged by the Freight Forwarder and controlling their compliance with contract.
  • Identifying opportunities of optimization.
  • Controlling and approving the invoices.

Reporting level:

  • The Logistics Lead will report operationally to the Logistics Manager and functionally to the Corporate Head of Supply Chain
