Job DescriptionAs an integral member of the Redevelopment Projects team, the PROJECT COORDINATOR will assist with the organization and implementation of construction projects, relocations of personnel or departments, furniture & equipment, under the direction of the Manager or designate. The principal responsibilities include: developing and implementing strategies to facilitate the cost effective and timely execution of multiple, simultaneous projects; monitoring the progress and quality of work associated with project outcomes; developing and maintaining accurate project documentation; monitor and control project scope, budget and schedule and performing other duties consistent with the job classification as assigned or requested, to contribute to the efficient functioning of the Redevelopment Projects portfolio.
Responsibilities- Provide project management day-to-day support to the Project Manager.
- Develop and use standard tools and processes established in the organization, such as Microsoft Office Templates in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, and the use of eBuilder Project Management software.
- Oversee and support all aspects of projects including planning, coordination, tracking, evaluation and budget management.
- Preparation and maintenance of project documentation including proposals, project plans, budgets, meeting agendas, documents and decks.
- Monitor and report on progress, risks and issues associated with the project to all stakeholders and escalate as appropriate.
- Engage and communicate with stakeholders on an ongoing basis and ensure changing resource and project requirements are met and understood.
- Schedule meetings with multiple stakeholders with complex calendars and manage meeting calendars and meeting resources.
Qualifications- At a minimum, completion of a 3-year community college program in Architecture, Engineering, Construction, Interior Design or equivalent experience required.
- 1 to 3 years related practical experience.
- Progression towards a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is an asset.
- Experience in working in a healthcare environment, medical imaging or treatment equipment, major institutional or public sector is an asset.
- Knowledge in building technical codes and standards applicable to acute health care environments is an asset.
- Knowledge of Broader Public Sector Procurement Directives and Supply Chain Guidelines is an asset.
- Experience with furniture and equipment planning and procurement is required.
- Experience with decanting and relocation of personnel, furniture and equipment required.
- Excellent time management and prioritization and organizational skills required.
- Very strong verbal and written communication skills, to both internal and external stakeholders required.
- Strong experience in coordination of multi-stakeholder meetings, including preparation of presentation materials, meeting minutes and meeting agendas.
- Responsive to urgent demands and short time lines.
