Position Overview

We are looking for a dynamic and strategic Coronary Product Manager with experience in medical device marketing in the cardiovascular space. Proven track record of success in product marketing with a focus on downstream marketing. Experience effectively working in a global/EMEA environment is preferred.

As a product manager, you will drive the go-to-market strategy for new products in the interventional cardiology space, primarily focused on European and some international markets. This position is also responsible for all marketing intelligence for the coronary market. This role is key in driving market adoption, commercial execution, and product lifecycle management in a fast-paced, innovative environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Product Strategy & Execution: Develop and implement go-to-market strategies to drive adoption and sales growth, including inventory planning, account targeting, segmentation, field training, and commercial support materials.
  • Market & Competitive Analysis: Monitor market trends, assess competitor activity, and identify opportunities to enhance product positioning and differentiation.
  • Sales & Marketing Support: Create high-impact commercial tools such as case studies, best practices, and customer testimonials. Execute regional marketing activities in collaboration with country marketing managers and marketing coordinators.
  • Data Analysis & Performance Tracking: Develop dashboards and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure product and campaign success.
  • KOL Engagement & Education: Partner with Medical education team to develop new Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) to strengthen clinical messaging and expand product awareness.
  • Training & Digital Initiatives: Lead field force training (sales, clinical, distributors) in collaboration with the Clinical Training Manager. Develop digital marketing initiatives to enhance engagement.
  • Conference & Trade Shows: Plan and execute Shockwave’s presence at industry events in collaboration with the Medical Education team.
  • Lifecycle Management: Oversee the entire product lifecycle, from launch strategy to post-market optimization.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Sales, Medical Affairs, Manufacturing, R&D, Regulatory, and Finance to ensure product success.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Ability to build successful partnerships with the sales force, develop relationships with key opinion leaders, and to modify strategies and tactics when necessary based on voice of customers and emerging trends.
  • Effective communication skills with all levels of management and organizations.
  • Excellent collaboration skills with an ability to gain the respect/buy-in from your stakeholders across Shockwave Medical.
  • Experience bringing new novel products to market is a plus.
  • A demonstrable ability to understand the needs and economics of the business and the market around it.
  • At ease in a clinical selling environment. Skill to translate complex clinical data into compelling commercial messaging.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities, operating as a team and independently, and adapting to changing requirements.
  • Bachelors degree plus MBA. “Equivalent experience” could be considered.
  • At least 3 years of post-MBA experience in the medical device field in product marketing.
  • Marketing of cardiovascular-related products is a plus.
  • Fluent in English, with proficiency in French preferred as a second language. Additional European languages are a plus.
  • Up to 50% travel may be required.
