PRODUCT DESIGNER H / F

We are looking for a talented Industrial Designer with North American market experience to join our growing Design team in our global headquarters in Ecully close to Lyon.

As an Industrial Designer, you will support development activities from concept to prototyping and product implementation. You will collaborate with a “Creative Pool” of Industrial designers, marketing and innovation specialists working for all our brands.

You will contribute to all types of projects (Innovation, Time To Market, Design To Cost). Your field of activity extends from the exploratory to the final phases.

Your main responsibilities :

1. Develop consumer products from concept to production according to established design briefs ensuring user experience’s quality and visual product consistency with Brand Design Guides.
2. Conceptualize and visualize physical design solutions.
3. Contribute and add value to all creative phases of projects: exploration, ideation, concept development, design development & final follow-up.
4. Create prototypes for research and internal review.
5. Produce the design deliverables required for the project to run smoothly: 3D files, visuals, presentations, usage scenarios and color proposals.
6. Articulate and specify design intent for manufacturing by creating specifications detailing layout, graphics, etc.
7. Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to innovate design solutions.
8. Understand Groupe SEB’s brands and help define the company’s future product development strategies.

Minimum Requirements:

1. Degree required in Industrial Design.
2. 2+ years of industrial design experience with North American market experience (USA or Canada).
3. Expertise in 2D (Adobe Creative Suite) and 3D (Rhinoceros, Keyshot).
4. Strong detail orientation with ability to work quickly.
5. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
6. Ability to juggle multiple projects.
7. Strong team player.

Ability to speak French is a plus.
