Maison Margiela is a Paris-based fashion house founded in 1988 by Belgian designer Martin Margiela. Celebrating unconventional aesthetics and embracing the philosophy that fashion is an art of expression rather than a cult of personality, Maison Margiela offers haute couture, ready-to-wear for women and men, contemporary line MM6, footwear, interior design, and accessories, including leather goods, fine jewelry and fragrance.

In 2002, the French house became part of OTB. Along with sister brands of the group, Maison Margiela continues pushing the boundaries of modern fashion while preserving its distinctive identity and heritage.

Job mission

The Product Coordinator will be the link between the design studio in France and the product development team based in Italy. They will be responsible for collecting all the information about the products from the Studio and sharing it with the Product Development team in Italy. The ideal candidate will serve as a key liaison, ensuring seamless communication and monitoring delivery timelines for the different collections.

Job Responsibilities And Activities

  • Act as the primary link between the creative team in France and the product development team in Italy, ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow.
  • Oversee collection planning, monitoring deliveries and status of the product development steps in liaison with the product development team in Italy.
  • Monitor prototypes and samples, ensuring consistency in materials, finishes, and production techniques.
  • Coordinate fittings, technical adjustments, and production refinements to guarantee a flawless final product.
  • Maintain clear and structured documentation of all development phases, from concept boards to final approvals.
  • Ensure collection tools are updated such as collection plans, trackers, and boards.
  • Create technical files for launches.
Skills And Experiences

  • Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Fashion, Product Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a similar role within the luxury or fashion industry.
  • Strong understanding of product development processes, materials, and garment construction.
  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills to liaise effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency in English and Italian; French is a plus.
  • Willingness to travel frequently between France and Italy.
