Product Compliance Engineer Apprentice

MISSIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

At the Clamart site, we develop, manufacture, and provide after-sales service for oil exploration and well testing equipment used worldwide. To strengthen its production teams, SLB is looking for a Product Compliance Engineer Apprentice.

Their missions will be:

• Assisting with Compliance Reviews: Helping to review product designs, manufacturing processes, and quality control procedures to ensure they comply with regulations and standards.
• Conducting Tests and Inspections: Performing tests and inspections to identify areas of non-compliance and assisting in implementing corrective actions.
• Documentation and Reporting: Preparing and maintaining documentation related to compliance testing, audits, and inspection.
• Staying Updated on Regulations: Keeping up to date with changes in regulatory legislation and guidelines and helping to interpret and apply these to the company's products.
• Supporting Risk Assessments: Assisting in conducting risk assessments and developing strategies for compliance and risk mitigation.
• Collaborating with Teams: Working closely with design, manufacturing, and quality teams to ensure regulatory compliance throughout product development and production.
• Developing digital solution: Assisting in the development and implementation of digital tool to enhance Product compliance process and monitoring of evolution.

PROFILES AND SKILLS

Desired profile: Bac +4 in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical) and Quality

To fulfill these missions, the sought-after skills are:

Technical skills:

• Understanding of Product Regulations: Knowledge of industry-specific regulations and standards such as IEC, UL, CSA, FCC, EN, CISPR, ANSI, and ASTM.
• Testing and Validation: Understanding in testing methodologies for safety, electromagnetic compatibility (EMC), and ATEX compliance.
• Risk Assessment: Ability to conduct risk assessments and develop compliance strategies.
• Documentation: Skills in preparing detailed compliance reports, test plans, and certifications.

Practical skills:

• Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail in documentation and testing processes.
• Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills to troubleshoot compliance issues and implement corrective actions.
• Organization: Excellent organizational skills to manage compliance documentation and track regulatory changes.
• Technical Expertise: Practical experience with compliance testing equipment and procedures.
