Postdoctoral fellowship - Immuno-Oncology - deciphering myeloid cell heterogeneity in solid tumors (All Gender)
Sanofi and Gustave Roussy (Europe's leading cancer center) are recruiting a Postdoctoral Researcher to join our group Research Unit 1015, headed by Dr. L. ZITVOGEL, as part of Florent GINHOUX's team working on “Targeting myeloid cell heterogeneity.” The position is for a 36-month fixed-term contract.
As a full-time Postdoctoral Researcher in the Ginhoux Laboratory, the candidate will work on tumor macrophage heterogeneity in treatment-resistant tumors/metastasis. Using advanced technologies (e.g., single-cell RNAseq, ATAC-seq, spatial transcriptomics, etc.) associated with spectral cytometry and the use of tool compounds, this study aims to better characterize and manipulate tumor macrophage heterogeneity in health and disease. Experience in bioinformatics, bench work, and human sample manipulation is required.
The project will focus on tumors and metastasis in different difficult-to-treat cancer indications, including but not limited to lung and GI cancers. This project will necessitate interaction with other teams working in Paris. Together, the goal is to develop innovative approaches to treatment as well as a fundamental understanding of tumor-associated macrophages.
This is a flexible job that provides opportunities for research and extensive collaboration in the context of a strong intellectual environment with good work-life balance. The Ginhoux group lies at the intersection of scientific research and large-scale computational analysis and works with many research groups. We are thus looking for someone who has a keen ability for picking up new knowledge and enjoys working on a wide variety of projects across a range of methods.

Better is out there. Better medications, better outcomes, better science. But progress doesn’t happen without people – people from different backgrounds, in different locations, doing different roles, all united by one thing: a desire to make miracles happen. So, let’s be those people.
