What we expect from you
As Permanent Associate Professor position in Computer Science, specializing in Distributed Data Management, you are at the heart of our missions in education, research, and innovation, assigned to the Center for Training and Research Institut Henri Fayol. Within this center, you combine scientific passion and societal impact.
The Institut Henri Fayol focuses on current transformations in light of digital, ecological, and industrial transitions, which are at the heart of the efficiency, resilience, and sustainability of industry and territories. It deploys a multidisciplinary strategy combining strong skills in industrial engineering, computer science, management, applied mathematics, and environmental sciences in conjunction with the research units EVS UMR 5600, LIMOS UMR 6158, and COACTIS.
You will integrate your research project into the Laboratory of Computer Science, Modeling, and Optimization of Systems (LIMOS, UMR 6158), focused on ICT. LIMOS is attached to INS2I and INSIS of the CNRS, with academic tutelage from Université Clermont Auvergne and Mines Saint-Étienne, and is a member of Clermont Auvergne INP. Its scientific focus is on computer science, modeling, and optimization of organizational and living systems.
As a teaching and research staff member of the Department of Computer Science and Intelligent Systems at Institut Fayol, you contribute to LIMOS's research on challenges concerning data interconnection, content, and algorithms. This interconnection outlines a decentralized and dynamic ecosystem where interoperability issues are crucial. Notably, you contribute to the development and enrichment of the Territory Platform (https://territoire.emse.fr/) and the valorization of the laboratory's scientific data through semantic web technologies, linked data, and FAIR principles.

Eligibility criteria
In accordance with the specific status of teachers at the Institut Mines Télécom (decree n°2007-468 of March 28, 2007, modified), candidates must hold a Ph.D. or a recognized qualification at least equivalent to the required national diplomas. Furthermore, candidates must be nationals of an EU country on the date of their application or another State party to the Agreement on the European Economic Area (Norway, Iceland and Liechtenstein) (law 83-634 of July 13, 1983, on the rights and obligations of civil servants, Art. 5 and 5 bis). Candidates accepted through competitive examinations are appointed as assistant professor trainees. The training period is one year. Upon completion, trainees whose services have been satisfactory are granted tenure.
