Perceived Quality Product Engineer (M/F)
You will join our Component Development Site, a key actor in the design and development of interior train parts for Rolling Stock, with more than 180 people and 20 different nationalities, including designers, buyers, industrial quality experts, project managers, and other experts, working on both French and international projects.
What are my responsibilities?
- Execute perceived quality methodology and progress following for several projects.
- Contribute to perceived quality métier referential.
- Contribute to Perceived Quality & Comfort CCN.
Organisation Reporting
Hierarchical Reporting: Engineering Performance and Continuous Improvement Manager, CDSi.
Functional Reporting: PQ Product Engineer Leader.
Network & Links
- Core Competence Network Perceived Quality & Comfort (CCN PQ&C).
Performance Measurement/KPI’s
- Responsible for following projects during the design phase, updating KPI, and reporting the situation, providing feedback on good practices and critical risks to hierarchy according to DFQ cycle.
Responsibilities
Accountable for:
- Applying Engineering instructions, guidelines, and internal processes of the Perceived Quality Metier.
- Ensuring action plan management and progress throughout the tender/project cycle.
Responsible for:
- Following the Design Review to track and manage PQ risks up to the final solution.
- Ensuring that the Perceived Junction file is validated according to the DFQ cycle.
- Ensuring that “stand sol” is applied without PQ deviation.
- Collecting 3D data from different métiers (A&CD, Engineering, PDM…) and building a Perceived Quality Digital Mock-up according to standard rules.
- Sharing KPI of improvements/evolutions throughout the project.
- Sharing internal customers’ feedback on methodology with PQ PE Leader.
Contributor for:
- Gathering relevant return of experience with PQ&C Network.
- Contributing to the Perceived Quality & Comfort solutions benchmark (internal and external references).
What do I need to qualify for this job?
- Education
- Mechanical Engineering degree or equivalent.
- Industrial Design degree or sensitivity to Industrial Design through background or personal interest.
- Technical
- Experience in product development.
- Knowledge of industrial processes (extrusion, sheet metal work, moulding, welding, 3D printing, FRP…).
- Knowledge of CAD software (CATIA or equivalent), solid and generative shape design.
- Advanced knowledge in visualization software (VRED, DELTAGEN, Keyshot…).
- General knowledge in different engineering fields will be welcome (lighting, acoustic…).
- Knowledge of Excel advanced features, or basics with a willingness to learn.
- Advanced level of English / French.

- Good communication skills to interact with internal customers and different métiers.
- Ability to convince and defend a solution.
- Open-mindedness.
- Ability to define priorities.
- Proactivity.
Travel
- 02-03 times a year: national & international.
