Payroll Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Payroll Specialist to join our finance team at Novotel Sunshine Coast Resort and Convention Centre.

Job Description

Join our dynamic team as a Payroll Specialist and lead the payroll function for our distinguished property. Your responsibilities will include:

• Providing accurate and efficient payroll services
• Serving as the first point of contact for payroll queries
• Accurately processing changes in employee statuses
• Participating in impactful payroll-related projects across our business

Qualifications

• A proven track record of success in a similar role within a medium-sized business
• Experience within the hospitality sector advantageous (but not required)
• Proven experience liaising with employees and management staff
• Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of awards, superannuation, taxation, payroll and employment law
• A passion for innovation – excited about the opportunity to identify and drive improvement within the Payroll function
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
• Ability to meet deadlines and ensure accuracy and attention to detail
