Experience : Minimum 5 years in Oracle EBusiness Suite (EBS) administration and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI)

Job Summary :

We are seeking an experienced Oracle Apps DBA Lead with strong expertise in Oracle EBusiness Suite (EBS) administration and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). This role will be responsible for managing, optimizing, and migrating Oracle EBS environments across on-premise and cloud infrastructures. The ideal candidate will also lead a team of Oracle Apps DBAs ensuring high availability, performance, and security standards.

Key Responsibilities :

  1. Lead and mentor a team of Oracle Apps DBAs ensuring high operational standards.
  2. Oversee the administration and management of Oracle EBS environments (R12 and earlier) on both on-premise and OCI.
  3. Plan, execute, and troubleshoot database and application tier upgrades, patches, and migrations.
  4. Implement high availability, performance tuning, security measures, and disaster recovery strategies for Oracle EBS.
  5. Manage Oracle EBusiness Suite and database environments on OCI.
  6. Administer OCI resources including compute instances, block storage, object storage, load balancers, and databases.
  7. Design and manage secure network topologies using OCI services like VCN, subnets, security lists, and FastConnect.
  8. Optimize OCI resource utilization for performance, security, and cost efficiency.
  9. Administer and maintain Oracle Database environments including tuning, backups, and patch management in OCI.

Migration & Cloud Strategy :

  1. Lead efforts to migrate Oracle EBS from on-premises to OCI with minimal downtime and data integrity.
  2. Develop and implement cloud-based disaster recovery and high availability solutions.
  3. Work with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless migration of legacy Oracle Applications to OCI.

Performance Tuning & Optimization :

  1. Optimize Oracle databases and application servers for enhanced cloud performance.
  2. Monitor and manage EBS and database environments to ensure maximum uptime.
  3. Implement monitoring and logging solutions using OCI's native tools and third-party applications.

Security & Compliance :

  1. Secure Oracle EBS environments including patching vulnerabilities, configuring security best practices, and managing user access.
  2. Implement encryption, secure access controls, and compliance-driven configurations.
  3. Manage Identity and Access Management (IAM) in OCI for controlled resource access and governance.
  4. Work with functional teams, network engineers, and cloud architects for smooth integration.
  5. Maintain comprehensive documentation for configurations, troubleshooting guides, and operational procedures.
  6. Provide regular reports on cloud resource usage, performance, and system health.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

  1. 5 years of experience in Oracle EBusiness Suite (EBS) administration.
  2. Strong expertise in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) services.
  3. Experience in database administration including installation, patching, performance tuning, backup, and high availability strategies.
  4. Hands-on experience with OCI services such as compute, networking (VCN, VPN, FastConnect, Load Balancer), storage (block, object), IAM, and database services.
  5. Familiarity with Oracle EBS architecture including database tier, application tier, and integrations.
  6. Proficiency in using Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) for monitoring and patching.

Preferred Skills & Experience :

  1. Experience with Oracle WebLogic Server, Oracle RAC, and Oracle Data Guard.
  2. Familiarity with Oracle Cloud Migration tools such as Data Transfer Services and Database Migration tools.
  3. Knowledge of automation tools like Ansible, Terraform, or OCI CLI for cloud deployments and Oracle EBS task automation.
  4. Experience in disaster recovery and business continuity planning in OCI.

Soft Skills :

  1. Strong leadership, mentoring, and team collaboration abilities.
  2. Excellent troubleshooting, problem-solving, and diagnostic skills.
  3. Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
