Operations and Logistics Specialist

Role Overview:

The Logistics and Compliance Specialist ensures the seamless coordination of logistics operations while maintaining compliance with EU regulations. This role involves developing strategies to optimize transportation, warehousing, and inventory management, supporting retail operations, and fostering strong collaboration across teams to deliver exceptional service to customers.

Your responsibilities are – but are not limited to:

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee day-to-day logistics, including transportation, warehousing, and distribution, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.

• Develop and implement logistics strategies aligned with company goals, regulatory requirements, and European market trends.

• Manage third-party logistics providers (3PLs), including contract negotiation and performance monitoring.

• Support retail store operations by ensuring seamless inventory replenishment and resolving logistics issues impacting store performance.

• Collaborate with customer service teams to address delivery inquiries and complaints, ensuring a positive customer experience.

Compliance and Regulatory Adherence

• Ensure compliance with EU regulations and standards related to transportation, customs, and environmental policies.

• Act as the primary point of contact for resolving escalations related to shipments, customs, or distribution.

Performance Monitoring and Optimization

• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess logistics performance and identify areas for improvement.

• Use data analytics and technology to streamline processes and enhance operational efficiency.

• Manage logistics budgets, forecast costs, and implement measures to reduce operational expenses without compromising quality.

Collaboration and Team Leadership

• Collaborate with supply chain, procurement, and sales teams to optimize inventory levels and improve customer satisfaction.

• Partner with retail teams to align logistics services with in-store promotions, seasonal demands, and customer expectations.

• Lead and mentor a team of logistics professionals, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous development.

Key Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in logistics, supply chain, or compliance roles, preferably within the EU market.

• Strong knowledge of EU transportation, customs, and environmental regulations.

• Proficiency in logistics software and data analytics tools.

• Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.

• Proven ability to manage budgets and negotiate contracts with third-party providers.

• Leadership experience with a track record of mentoring and developing teams.

• Experience in retail logistics or luxury goods industries.

• Familiarity with ERP systems and inventory management tools.

• Multilingual capabilities are a plus.

• Must be able to travel to Netherlands weekly
