If you have the expertise to manage IT operational risks, you can play a key role in strengthening our organisation.

Are you highly skilled in developing or using risk tools for operational risk, IT auditing, internal control or business continuity management? Do you have sound experience within the IT, risk or financial department of a major institution? If so, you have the opportunity to play a pivotal role in strengthening risk and control frameworks for an international development bank with a unique social mandate.

In this critical role, you will ensure the effectiveness of our IT risk and governance framework by implementing robust operational risk management and governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) tools. You will proactively assess user needs, draft technical specifications and oversee project delivery in an agile manner whilst defining our internal control framework. Your expertise will help us to mitigate our IT and technology risks by examining our processes, workflows, and dependencies and model best practice solutions. To succeed you will need a highly creative mindset and a structured approach to problem-solving.

To join us, you should bring:

1. A degree in IT, finance, business, economics, risk management, engineering or a related discipline.
2. Hands-on knowledge of industry-standard IT control frameworks such as COBIT, ISO 27001 and NIST CIF.
3. Experience in web development, IT tools development or IT project management, ideally backed by exposure to PHP technologies.
4. Familiarity with business process analysis and mapping concepts, techniques and methodologies.
5. Full fluency in English or French, alongside a working knowledge of the other language.

Additional experience of BPMN modelling standards and tools such as MEGA HOPEX, ARIS or Signavio would be useful, as would a background within a financial institution, consulting or auditing firm or software supplier.
