SKEMA Business School (https://www.skema.edu/) invites applications for a position at Assistant and/or Associate Professor rank, in Artificial Intelligence for Management, to begin August 2024. The successful candidate will develop and/or lead academic research projects with the aim of publishing in the field's highest-quality journals.
The SKEMA Center for Artificial Intelligence (SCAI) (https://www.skema.edu/faculty-and-research/scai/presentation-scai-faculty-research/presentation) is an interdisciplinary initiative focused on exploring the opportunities and implications of artificial intelligence for the management of organizations, industries, and business ecosystems. SCAI aims to investigate the economic, societal, and ethical value generated by Human Centric AI Systems for Business as well as to develop and enhance AI techniques and algorithms to solve specific business problems.
The Center provides support for research and facilitates open discussions on how AI creates new layers of value that impact business models, sustainability, user behavior, information sharing, experiential engagement, marketing practices, and brand equity. Research directions may include, but are not limited to, the use of machine learning (e.g., predictive modeling and reinforcement learning) to find optimized solutions, and the development of decision-support tools that combine data-driven models with knowledge-based models. Additionally, the research center aims to explore how AI-enabled networked platforms are transforming business practices, fostering new business models, and shaping emerging business ecosystems.
To do this, SCAI initiates and sponsors:
The candidate will be expected to produce excellent research; teach undergraduate and/or graduate level courses in AI applied to Management; contribute to student mentorship; and participate in projects related to the SKEMA SKY25 corporate strategy.
The position is permanent with a full-time contract. Salary and conditions are competitive, in line with international standards. SKEMA Business School offers publication bonuses for peer-reviewed publications. The language of work and teaching is English. Knowledge of French is not required, and is not a criterion for selection. SKEMA Business School offers support in learning French.
