Oncology Pharmacist

Icon Singapore has entered into a partnership with Bali International Hospital (part of Indonesia Healthcare Corporation) to deliver comprehensive cancer care in Indonesia.

We are building a cancer centre in Bali (set to open in May 2025) and are looking for experienced pharmacists to join our care team. We are offering attractive relocation packages and an opportunity to help build a strong team of nurses to improve the healthcare standards in Indonesia. This is a full-time position based in Bali, Indonesia.

This collaboration marks a historic moment, as it’s the first time foreign doctors, nurses, and pharmacists will be able to practice in Indonesia in the special economic zone in Sanur, Bali, bringing high-quality care closer to patients in the region. Your licence to practice will be recognised in Bali International Hospital, allowing you to care and treat patients. This venture brings Icon’s experience in delivering quality cancer care closer to home for Indonesian locals, extending our ability to help more people access care when and where they need it.

About the Role

You will be part of the Outpatient Pharmacy department and working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to promote wellness and ensure quality pharmaceutical care to cancer patients.

Responsibilities

1. Prepare and dispense medications using appropriate technique in accordance with department policies and guidelines.
2. Assure completeness and appropriateness of medication order before preparing and permitting the distribution or dispensing.
3. Provide medication-use education to patients and caregivers.
4. Check accuracy of the work of pharmacy technical and clerical personnel or others in accordance with institutional/departmental policies and procedures.
5. Assist senior management in supervising and scheduling work of subordinate staff in the pharmacy.
6. Ensure the continuity of pharmaceutical care to and from the acute and ambulatory patient care settings.
7. Provide concise, applicable, and timely responses to requests for drug information from health care providers and patients.
8. Ensure accurate charging and collection of fees at the pharmacies.
9. Perform drug ordering and maintain sufficient stock for patients' needs.
10. Participate in the process for assessing, managing, and reporting medication errors.
11. Participate in departmental performance improvement programs.
12. Collect and prepare workload statistics and other reports as assigned by Senior Managers.
13. Perform any duties as assigned by Senior Manager.

Job Requirements

1. Bachelor of Science (Pharmacy) or equivalent
2. Registered with Malaysia Pharmacy Council or any equivalent Pharmacy Board (in country)
3. At least 2 years oncology experience
4. Strong oral and writing skills
5. Good interpersonal and communication skills, team player
6. Computer literate with knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
7. Proficient in speaking English and Bahasa
