Offshore Superintendent

Aventa is looking to hire an installation engineer to participate in an interconnector project in France.

Responsibilities and Duties

Responsibilities and specific technical competencies:

1. Act as a technical interface with the client for document preparation.
2. Act as the technical point of contact for scopes of work within the project.
3. Report to the Installation Department on the outcome of meetings and technical discussions.
4. Critically evaluate technical and contractual information.
5. Analyze and understand customer technical challenges.
6. Develop technical design solutions against client scope of work.
7. Fully grasp all engineering challenges and effectively utilize engineering tools and techniques to overcome challenges as they occur.
8. Develop technical procedures associated with installing cables in the offshore marine environment.
9. Ensure that the engineering technical solution provision is best in class and effective with respect to cost, quality, and safety.

Sought Profile

Engineering including preparation of method statements for the following activities:

1. Burial assessment study (BAS).
2. Survey works.
3. Cable installation works.
4. Pre-sweeping/dredging works.
5. Mattress installation works.
6. Trenching works.
7. Cable pull-in at landfall and at offshore substation.
