Offshore Superintendent

Aventa is looking to hire an installation engineer to participate in an interconnector project in France.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Act as a technical interface with the client for document preparation.
• Act as the technical point of contact for scopes of work within the project.
• Report to the Installation Department on the outcome of meetings and technical discussions.
• Critically evaluate technical and contractual information.
• Analyze and understand customer technical challenges.
• Develop technical design solutions against client scope of work.
• Fully grasp all engineering challenges and effectively utilize engineering tools and techniques to overcome challenges as they occur.
• Develop technical procedures associated with installing cables in the offshore marine environment.
• Ensure that the engineering technical solution provision is best in class and effective with respect to cost, quality, and safety.

Engineering including preparation of method statements for the following activities:

• Cable burial risk assessment (CBRA).
• Route Engineering.
• Burial assessment study (BAS).
• Survey works.
• Cable installation works.
• Pre-sweeping/dredging works.
• Mattress installation works.
• Rock placement (rock dumping).
• Trenching works.
• Cable pull-in at landfall and at offshore substation.
