Maintenance Technician AUP Housing

Supervisor: Maintenance Manager or any other supervisor designated by the president.

Under the direction of the AUP Housing Maintenance Manager, and as part of a team, the technician carries out renovation, maintenance and repair work; provides logistical support for the establishment's activities; and provides logistical support for the activities of the student housing department.

DUTIES

Maintenance and renovation work:

• Carries out all types of maintenance, renovation and repair work in buildings in accordance with the rules of the trade, in particular: masonry, painting, plastering, locksmithing, carpentry, laying floor coverings.

Electrical work:

• Performs electrical work according to his level of clearance:
  • Small maintenance and bulb replacement.
  • Repairs.
  • Troubleshooting (circuit breaker problems, short circuits, wear and tear on equipment, etc.).
  • Electrical installations (high and low current).

Plumbing works:

• Repairs.
• Installations and modifications.

Logistics:

• Setting up apartments.
• Logistical support for apartment preparation and move-ins.
• Participate in removals and transportation.

Cleanliness and Hygiene:

• Clean buildings and equipment when necessary.
• Take out the garbage when necessary.

Miscellaneous:

• Processes assigned support tickets under the direction of the AUP Housing Maintenance Manager.
• Any other tasks requested by the AUP Housing Maintenance Manager.
• Other appropriate duties assigned by the supervisor.

SCHEDULES

35 hours per week, normally Monday to Friday. The schedule may vary according to the needs of the department, in order to ensure adequate coverage and continuity of service.

SKILLS

• General knowledge of building techniques.
• Good organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a team and in a multicultural environment.
• Computer skills: e-mail, Internet.
• Up-to-date first aid certificate.
