About the Client:

The client is a reputable organisation in the yachting industry. They are based in the Cannes zone.

The Project:

For this interesting project, we are looking for a Mediterranean Logistics Port Operator to be based in the Cannes area and ready to start as soon as possible (based on the pace of the recruitment process) and the latest beginning March 2025.

For this position, you must be bilingual in French & English, and being very good in Italian speaking would indeed be a great plus. Of course, any other additional language would be appreciated.

We are looking for someone who has principally the knowledge of these 3 languages. Additionally, you are someone who is not afraid to make connections, talk to people, and find your way around tasks with your communication & diplomacy skills.

Previous experience in the yachting / maritime industry is NOT obligatory.

For this post, you would be in charge of:

  • Logistics for the boats / yachts being managed by the organization.
  • Securing berths for the clients' boats / yachts at short notice.
  • Collaborating with the boats in question to anticipate their docking / berth needs in advance and having a global perspective on the movements of all boats under your supervision.
  • Liaising with the port authorities and local service providers / suppliers with which the organization has working relationships.
  • Anticipating peculiar needs for clients and their yachts and quickly coming up with solutions.
  • Ensuring that the clients have a seamless yachting experience coming in and out of the port while ensuring all the formalities on the shore.
  • Using the internal software to edit and handle quotes, invoices, and manage deposits.

Desired Profile:

  • Experience using English, French & Italian in previous roles.
  • Great common sense and strong ability to adapt quickly and understand and memorize the required tasks.
  • Excellent organizational skills and a good memory to keep records of work, prioritize tasks efficiently, and remember clients' needs / habits.
  • Logical approach to tasks, with the ability to be trained on specific topics if needed.
  • Full availability during the official summer season when activity in the Mediterranean and French ports is high, including occasional weekend work via phone.
  • Comfortable with numbers and a good understanding of basic accounting (quotes, invoices, deposits) and proficient in MS Office, especially Excel.
  • Reactive, responsive, multitasking, and able to anticipate needs and situations in advance.
  • Able to use technologies & software with ease.
  • Strong in communication & negotiations, able to achieve goals by collaborating with necessary and essential people.
  • Valid EU / Schengen nationality and/or visa.
  • International driver's license and the right to drive in France.
  • No criminal record; honest and trustworthy.

Package: Euros net per month based on profile and experience.

You will be provided with a company mobile phone and computer. Additionally, you will have access to a company car for occasional meetings.
