Logistic Methods & Means Manager (W / M)

Within the DTI, the purpose of the LMM Manager is to support packing and handling topics for Saint-Gobain Glass factories worldwide. He / she is managing the conception and the methods to use the different racks and the way to load them and supporting the plants on these topics.

In this role, main responsibilities will be:

• Definition and design of new tools and methods to transport glass: Understanding and transcription of plants and customers needs, design of new glass support, realization of prototypes and validation, creation of standard procedures for glass handling to deploy in all plants, relationship with purchasing department to identify and develop suppliers for these equipments.
• Technical assistance and Continuous improvement: Training of key users in plants, support plants for technical aspects of glass handling, continuous improvement on costs spent for glass handling, support to project for the definition of needs for new plants/new lines.
• Safety: Ensure regulatory compliance and normative monitoring related to handling (glass, stillage, …), ergonomics and conformity of equipment (CE), define standards to store and manipulate glass safely, coach the plants that are asking for or for new topics.

Education / Technical skills:

Generalist Engineer or Engineer in Mechanics with 2 - 5 years of experience in the Industry with a field experience. Experience in an international and multicultural environment would be appreciated.

Fluent in spoken and written English mandatory. French is highly appreciated. Spanish or German is a plus.

Job Requirement: The position will be based in Aubervilliers in France and requires frequent travels to the Saint-Gobain Glass plants (for some days / 30% of his time).
