Legal Counsel Paris France Temporary contract 6-9 months - maternity cover

We are seeking a Legal Counsel to support the France Benelux and LATAM regions. Key responsibilities include :

• Supporting Senior Legal Counsel for the region
• Providing legal counsel on complex transactions and managing relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Drafting, reviewing and negotiating IT-related contracts including software/cloud agreements, professional services, partnerships, and NDAs.
• Collaborating with internal teams such as Deal Desk, Revenue Recognition, and external counsel.
• Manage litigations and pre-litigations with the support of outside counsels.
• Overseeing compliance matters related to anti-corruption, data privacy (GDPR), and export controls.

Qualifications :

• French-qualified lawyer with 3-5 years PQE in software/cloud/SaaS preferably in an international environment.
• High standards of ethics, integrity, and professionalism.
• Strong experience in commercial contracts, data protection, and regulatory compliance.
• Familiarity with the Software industry.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and time-management skills.
• Ability to balance legal and business priorities in a dynamic global environment.
• Fluent in French and English; other languages like Dutch, Spanish, or Portuguese are a plus.
• Ability to work in a complex international environment.
