Legal & Compliance Director - Legal & Regulatory, Trade Sanctions & Export Control
In terms of expertise and responsibilities, the position aims at supporting the Legal & Compliance Director - Legal & Regulatory, Trade Sanctions and Export Control in legal and regulatory matters as they relate to ethics & compliance, in particular:
- Providing support for the development, implementation and monitoring of a compliance program dedicated to international trade sanctions and export control matters. This includes the deployment of such program by providing appropriate trainings worldwide.
- Assisting the Legal & Compliance Director - Legal & Regulatory, Trade Sanctions and Export Control in providing support to business teams and concerned functions in these two areas of expertise (international trade sanctions and export control) worldwide.
- Monitoring of the international trade sanctions and export control legal framework.
- Providing support for (i) the central coordination and overview of E&C Litigation and arbitration cases with former sales consultants and (ii) the regular reporting to management and statutory auditors as part of Alstom financial review.
Also, depending on the assessment of workload and team profiles, as well as the review by the Chief Compliance Officer of tasks efficiency allocations within the team, the candidate needs to be prepared and willing to possibly support in other areas.
Experience prerequisites & required competences
Mandatory:
- Graduate Law degree (Master 2 level equivalent).
Desirable:- MBA.
- Bar Membership and private practice experience in litigation ideally supplemented with advanced awareness of white collar crime regulations is also a plus for this position.
ExperienceMandatory:- Previous experience in trade sanctions and/or export control matters in an international company and a real interest in working on these compliance related matters.
- 5/7 years+ of experience in law field.
- In view of the international nature of the company's activities, previous positions in an international business environment.
- Excellent English language skills. Fluent in French.
