Do you have exposure to legal administrative processes? Have you managed a variety of legal documents and commercial contracts?

If this sounds like you and you are driven by purpose, join the SOPHiA GENETICS Legal & Compliance team as a Legal Assistant / Paralegal, and enable us to make a positive impact on the outcomes for cancer and rare disease patients worldwide.

This role could suit either someone with previous in-house experience, or a paralegal / clerk within practice looking to make their first move to industry.

This is a hybrid (3 Days PW) opportunity connected to our corporate office in Bidart, France.

Your Mission

Reporting to the VP, Legal Affairs you will provide a broad range of legal administrative support, including:

  • Overseeing the contract lifecycle process, including planning, collaboration, negotiation, execution, and coordinating the signing process for contracts and other legal documents.
  • Ensuring proper filing of legal documents and executing administrative and operational processes for the legal team.
  • Keeping the legal management database up to date (corporate, contracts, IP).
  • Maintaining and filing corporate records, including resolutions, proxies, board of director changes, annual reports, etc.
  • Assisting with the preparation of appropriate draft documents, including agendas, corporate resolutions, and meeting minutes for board of director and committee meetings.

Requirements

To be best set for success, we see you bringing:

  • 2-5 years of experience within a Legal Administrative role – both practice and in-house experience is valid.
  • Direct exposure to the negotiation and management of commercial contracts.
  • Capable of working autonomously across a broad range of matters, and comfortable prioritizing with competing deadlines.
  • Full fluency (written & spoken) in English is required.
  • A success-oriented and solutions-focused mindset that embraces team collaboration, change, growth, and inclusion.
