CMA CGM Group has decided to structure and strengthen its R&D approach by creating a Center of Excellence dedicated to Innovation and Research. The center will increase the company’s capacity for technological and scientific innovation necessary to meet its strategic objectives (decarbonization, digitalization…), while generating profitability and ensuring a high visibility on the Group’s commitment to the industry’s energy transition. It will rely on strategic industrial and academic partners experts in the maritime industry (laboratories, companies, startups, shipyards, etc.).

As part of the Corporate, Litigation, and International Legal Department, your mission is to manage the legal secretariat for a substantial portfolio of companies in France and internationally, providing support to the department’s legal team. You will assist in the execution of daily tasks, particularly in drafting certain legal documents (minutes, various contracts, powers of attorney, etc.).

WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?

  • Oversee the legal secretariat for a large portfolio of French and foreign companies, handling all formalities related to corporate operations (legalization, apostille, filings with registries, translations, notaries, auditors, bailiffs, etc.),
  • Assist the legal counsel responsible for organizing the Group holding's board of directors' meetings,
  • Ensure the proper maintenance of both physical and digital records for French companies,
  • Update and maintain the legal database tracking the Group's legal entities,
  • Quarterly update the Group’s subsidiary legal structure charts,
  • Manage the follow-up on Know Your Customer (KYC) procedures and related formalities (apostille, legalization, etc.) and update the DBE,
  • Provide support to operational teams during audits, internal controls, or regulatory inspections,
  • Ensure the archiving of legal documents handled by the corporate legal team.

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

  • A degree in Private Law (Bachelor’s level or equivalent) or specialized training in legal assistance (IUT, etc.), or significant experience in legal secretariat work within a large group or international law firm,
  • Legal knowledge, particularly in corporate law, would be a plus,
  • Proficiency in corporate digital tools would be an advantage (Microsoft 365, DocuSign, digital legal databases),
  • Strong command of English (both spoken and written),
  • Diplomatic, with excellent interpersonal and writing skills,
  • Organizational skills, a service-oriented mindset, responsiveness, and attention to detail.
