Your Mission – Legal Operations Intern

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Legal Operations Intern to join our dynamic and international team. Reporting directly to the Head of Legal and working closely with cross-functional teams, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of Okomera’s legal processes and compliance efforts. This is a hands-on role where you’ll gain invaluable experience in startup legal operations, contracts management, and regulatory compliance within the biotech sector.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Legal and Contractual Support
  2. Draft, review, and manage contracts and agreements (e.g., NDAs, supplier agreements, client contracts).
  3. Assist in maintaining and organizing Okomera’s contract management database.
  4. Collaborate with the Legal team to support negotiations and ensure contracts align with company objectives.
  5. Regulatory and Compliance Assistance
  6. Support regulatory filings and documentation, ensuring compliance with local and international standards.
  7. Assist with GDPR compliance and other relevant data protection regulations.
  8. Corporate Governance
  9. Assist in preparing legal documents for board meetings and investor relations.
  10. Ensure compliance with corporate governance requirements.
  11. Process Optimization
  12. Contribute to developing and improving internal legal processes and workflows.
  13. Assist in creating templates, policies, and procedures for legal and compliance activities.
  14. Cross-Functional Collaboration
  15. Work closely with departments such as Sales, Finance, and HR to provide legal guidance and support.
  16. Assist in legal training sessions for internal teams.

What You’ll Bring

  1. Academic Background: Enrolled in or recently completed a Master’s program in Law (business law, intellectual property, or compliance preferred).
  2. Strong Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; French proficiency is a strong advantage.
  3. Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced startup environment.
  4. Attention to Detail: A meticulous approach to legal documents and processes.
  5. Tech-Savvy: Comfortable using digital tools and software for legal and contract management.
