Are you a motivated biotechnology engineer with strong lab management skills? Thalya is seeking a reliable and organized individual to support our cutting-edge research team. In this role, you will help manage the lab environment and contribute to our innovative research on nitrate assimilation in corn. You will play a key role in ensuring smooth operations, supporting various projects, and facilitating the success of our research efforts in plant nutrition using state-of-the-art technologies.

Key responsibilities :

• Set-up, optimize and validate protocols to support the R&D team
• Collaborate on multiple projects, ensuring efficient data collection and analysis
• Communicate research results to the R&D team during team meetings
• Manage stocks and supply in the lab in an eco-friendly approach
• Ensure compliance with lab safety protocols and update security procedures
• Ensure maintenance and proper operation of lab equipment
• Stay updated on the latest advancements in plant biotechnology

Qualifications :

• Master’s degree in Biotechnology, Plant Genetics, Molecular Biology, or a related field
• Strong background in plant biology
• Experience in molecular biology techniques (e.g., cloning, PCR, qPCR, western blotting)
• Experience in gene editing techniques (e.g., CRISPR / Cas9)
• Proficiency with plant transformation techniques (transitory, permanent)
• Excellent data analysis and data visualization skills
• Strong communication, problem-solving skills, and organization skills
• Experience in lab management or similar operational roles
