The Trading team for our European entity (Macquarie Bank Europe) provides pricing and risk management of client hedging solutions, working in close partnership with the client coverage team. The role is cross-asset but with a particular focus on commodities and specifically European Natural Gas, Power and Emissions markets.

What role will you play?

In this Role you will manage pricing requests from the client coverage team in Macquarie's developed commodities business and execute the initial hedging of client transactions on a principal basis. You will also closely monitor the market risk of the trading books at a portfolio level and carry out ongoing risk management of positions whilst developing strong market knowledge of commodity markets to profitably risk manage the trading books and support the client business. You will also interact with internal colleagues including client coverage, market risk, finance and operations in order to ensure efficient flow of the business.

What you offer

• 1-3 years of relevant experience in financial markets. Knowledge of Power, Gas and Emissions markets is highly advantageous.
• A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Mathematics, Economics, or related quantitative discipline.
• An analytical and curious mindset with exceptional attention to detail.
• Resilience, persistence and a being able to "think on your feet".
• Proficiency in English is essential, further language skills and coding skills are desired but not essential.
