We are currently recruiting for a Junior French Copywriter to sit within the
French team, based in our Paris office. You will be reporting into the Copywriting Manager for the EU, working closely with the wider EU business, as well as local marketing and ecommerce teams.
This is an opportunity for someone who wants to produce engaging written content across multiple channels in line with the French UNIQLO brand tone of voice. The content produced will be used by teams across the business in a variety of customer touchpoints, including product names and descriptions, digital ads, the UNIQLO Today blog, product category pages, and content-rich landing pages in support of multi-channel campaigns.
What You Will Be Responsible For:- Supporting the copy preparation process for all regular site and content updates, working as the authority on all things written for UNIQLO France digital platforms.
- Creating short, persuasive headlines and product summaries for weekly homepage updates.
- Writing engaging subject lines and e-mail content for multiple weekly marketing newsletters.
- Writing copy for category and content pages to engage customers and drive organic traffic acquisition.
- Planning and creating exciting blog content.
- Working closely with in-store marketing and visual merchandising teams to ensure the UNIQLO customer experience is cohesive and aligned between e-commerce and bricks-and-mortar stores.
- Preparing and revising product names and descriptions in line with brand guidelines and tone of voice expectations.
- Supporting the continued development of our French brand tone of voice.
- Supporting designers and site operations teams by responding to ad-hoc copy requests.
- Working to achieve SEO targets by incorporating keywords and SEO best practices in everyday copywriting tasks.
- Developing strong product, campaign, and business awareness.
- Creating and presenting data-driven reports on copywriting successes and future projects.
- Proactively engaging with people across departments and following up on deliverables from others without hesitation.
Skills, Experience and Attributes:- Degree educated.
- 2+ years’ demonstrable experience content writing in an e-commerce context.
- Experience in retail or fashion.
- Exceptional spelling and grammar.
- Good understanding of SEO, with experience writing copy to achieve SEO-based objectives.
- Bilingual in French (native level) and English.
- Clear experience working in a fast-paced environment.
- Self-driven and organized.
- Confident engaging with team members across the business.
- Foundational understanding of data and how it informs copywriting-related decisions in an e-commerce context.
- Ability to work in a multicultural setting.
