The Junior Data Engineer - Business Intelligence role is part of our BI team, responsible for creating, maintaining, and distributing standard operational and data quality reports & dashboards, performing preliminary analysis of reports & dashboards, analyzing business drivers/metrics reporting, and producing ad hoc reports.

What will your essential responsibilities include?

1. Working closely with various business units in the definition and development of management reports and reporting performance measurement solutions.
2. Learning, elaborating, and delivering on third-party applications (e.g., Power BI).
3. Performing quality audits on all outgoing reports and driving reporting standardization across the team.
4. Ensuring that all process descriptions and documentation on reports are accurate and updated.
5. Supporting management/operational reporting standardization across AXA XL. You will report to the Division Lead – BI Development Services.

We’re looking for someone who has these abilities and skills:

1. A minimum of an Undergraduate University Degree.
2. 2-4 years of experience in a data role supporting at least one specialty area of Data Management.
3. Knowledge in Business Intelligence development skills, with exposure to Power BI. Experience in dashboard development is a must; experience in SQL is recommended.
4. Good knowledge of insurance domains.
5. Exercises judgment for decision-making on complex issues that impact the department.
6. Makes recommendations to management on new processes, tools, techniques, or development of new products and services.
7. Consistently determines and executes basic research and/or referrals independently.
8. Demonstrates a level of experience/ability to influence and understand business problems in technical terminology.
9. English as a working language is mastered.
