Job Description

As a Junior Apparel Designer you will be collaborating with the team in the design process of different collections and product lines, from initial concept to final product. You will generate original, relevant designs that align with market demands, the company’s strategic goals and creative direction. While using a customer-centric mindset, you will contribute to the research, design and development of new products, that will deliver an inspiring, cohesive seasonal collection.

Main duties and responsibilities

• Research, study and analyze market and cultural trends and consumer needs
• Explore creative solutions and propose design solutions for product lines based on the project brief
• Create, explore, and maintain up to date the product toolbox of the activity
• Produce and update files, design packs, posters
• Execute the design guides and ensure that they are applied/respected all along the project
• Co-develop the designs up to the samples in collaboration with Development and Marketing
• Convince, be able to produce attractive creations and explain and communicate its creations (drawings, mock-up, prototypes…) to the project team and the management

Qualifications

• Job accessible to beginners
• Command of Office Pack
• Command of business software (e.g. Adobe design, Photoshop, Illustrator)
• Command of graphic design, knowledge of current design, knowledge of target markets (needs, attitudes and consumer behavior)
• Knowledge of 3D creative process necessary
• Knowledge of materials
• Job requires Creativity
• Master’s degree in design/product design or equivalent preferred
• Fluent English
