Offer Description
In July 2023, URCA joined the European consortium INVEST – INnoVations for rEgional SusTainability, focused on sustainable regional development, innovative teaching, and new training programs. Launched in 2020 and coordinated by the Slovak University of Agriculture in Nitra, INVEST brings together universities from Greece, Bulgaria, Finland, Italy, Spain, and now France. The first phase (2020–2023) was successfully completed, and URCA is now part of the second phase of the project (2023-2027).
Tasks and responsibilities
The INVEST Centre of Excellence for RD&I Manager primary objective is to coordinate the completion of the six tasks outlined in Work Package 6 in cooperation with consortium members and other partners.
This objective is divided into several missions, which may evolve according to the alliance's needs:
Mission 1: Management and Monitoring of WP6
- Monitor the tasks and steps necessary for the progress of WP6, ensure the implementation of the action plan as defined in the project, and prepare and draft deliverables, in collaboration with the local coordinator URCA and the INVEST URCA project manager;
- Monitor WP expenses, control their allocation and execution, respecting the deadlines of the project's various stages;
- Ensure communication and synergies with other Work Packages (lifelong learning, doctoral, research, capacity building, Living Labs, joint supervision, etc.).
Mission 2: Organize the operation of the Centre of Excellence
- Organize the governance bodies of the Centre: meetings of the Steering Board, Executive Committee, taskforces on funding and networking opportunities, and research clusters, draft invitations and minutes, prepare agendas, collect information from members and stakeholders, disseminate content;
- Plan and organize Centre-related events: periodic meetings, workshops, webinars, conferences, in collaboration with the INVEST communication and events officer;
- Manage the members of scientific teams, Centre’s governance bodies, and partners: create and maintain a database of members;
- Maintain relations with other structures and partners.
Mission 3: Manage the Centre of Excellence's Research Program
- Oversee the work of the research clusters;
- Develop and implement the Centre’s Research, Development, and Innovation Strategy;
- Promote the program and its actions within the Centre, URCA, and across other partners and associates;
- Support the search for co-financing for actions.
Mission 4: Scientific Animation and Communication within and outside the Centre of Excellence
- Help onboarding researchers in the seven research clusters;
- Assist members of the Taskforce on networking opportunities in the development of the joint lobbying and networking strategy;
- In collaboration with the INVEST communication and events officer, develop the Centre’s identity, propose internal and external communication actions to promote the Centre of Excellence, its research clusters, and projects;
- Develop and populate the Centre's platform and the dedicated INVEST institutional website section.
Knowledge:
- Knowledge of French and European research systems
- Minimum 3 years of experience, including some in an international environment and university environment
- Experience in the research field
- Mastery of legal, administrative, and financial mechanisms related to research structuring
- Proficiency in English language: C1
- Proficiency in French language: B2
- Project management methodology
