To strengthen our team at the Darmstadt site, we are looking for a motivated

IT Administrator / First and Second Level Support (m / f / d / x)

part-time (50%), preferably with a Bachelor of Science (Computer Science) or completed training as an IT specialist for system integration.

At DFKI's Darmstadt site, we conduct research in one of the most exciting research areas of our time. But this is only possible if the technology plays along. You will create the technical foundations for this, work closely with our researchers and support them in the operational aspects of research.

You will be the contact person for employees on all IT system administration issues, set up structures and processes at the newly established site, and be responsible for integration into the existing DFKI structures. To this end, you will work closely with the employees of the responsible infrastructure group at the Kaiserslautern site.

Relevant professional experience in a research and/or university environment is an advantage. A very good command of English and routine use of common IT administration tools are required. Structured, independent work, accuracy, and the ability to work in a team should be a matter of course for you. • First and second level support for Office 365, Windows, Mac OS X, and Linux
• Support for employees
• Administration of servers with Windows and Linux operating systems
• Administration of virtualization environments (Proxmox KVM)
• Administration of file servers and backups
• Administration of the network infrastructure (HPE Procurve and Comware; local and site networking)
• Administration of the Microsoft Active Directory
• License management (Matrix42)
• As part of the Kaiserslautern infrastructure group, you are the interface for the employees on site in Darmstadt as well as to the university computer center of TU Darmstadt

Our requirements:

• Bachelor of Science (Computer Science) or training as an IT specialist in system integration
• Fluency in German at least at B2 level
• Very good knowledge of English
• Structured, independent work, accuracy, and ability to work in a team
