Under the IT Operations department and Head of SHIPS IT, the IT Technical Lead is responsible for IT on Vessels.
YOUR ROLE
- Accountable for Vessel IT Infrastructure Solutions: Ensure the coherence, structure and architecture of the infrastructure solution.
- Accountable for integration of vessel applications.
- Technical Leader.
- Support SDM on day-to-day production activities & shipboard IT projects.
- Lead the good IT systems implementation and maintenance as per Vessel IT Security policies and Cyber Security guidelines onboard vessels.
- Manage priorities, alerts, escalation and change requests.
WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?
- In relation with technical team/service line, participate, build and validate the technical environment and infrastructure.
- Provide L3 support to technical and functional teams.
- Business needs and request qualifications (Project or Change Request), then deploy and implement IT systems and applications to CMA CGM vessels.
- Ensure the quality of the infrastructure deployed, consistency and operability.
- Participate in architecture committees to ensure compliance with the norms and standards in place, and support the technical teams.
- Ensure the process for industrialization, monitoring, backup/recovery and security.
- Manage priorities in backlog activities (build, support, incident/problems…)
- Obsolescence, capacity planning and vulnerabilities management.
- Deploy and maintain monitoring systems performance on board.
- Interface between vendors, ship crews, customers and cybersecurity teams.
- Liaise with different IT teams.
- Participate in the road map build and define the group target.
- Ensure that documentation & procedures (Shipboard software, systems maintenance, etc.) are maintained.
- Configuration Audit and Continuous Improvement Plan management.
TECHNICAL ENVIRONMENT
- Operation Systems Administration (Windows, VM, Linux, macOS).
- Connectivity: oneweb, starlink, VSAT…
- Help Desk ticketing Systems: ServiceNow…
- Network Troubleshooting and Configuration (Switch, FW, wifi/LAN…)
- Cybersecurity Best Practices and Protocols.
- Scripting and Automation.
- Hardware Diagnostics and Repair.
- Monitoring, Alerting and Log Management.
- This position also requires great availability and may need some 24/7 actions.
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
- BAC +5, Graduated in the IT field or equivalent, with more than 8 years of experience in IT Production and Operations.
- Strong IT knowledge (Backup, AntiVirus, Anti-malware, PCs), strong knowledge of Workplace, Network and Infrastructure.
- Experience with IT Project Management.
- Good understanding of information systems.
- Knowledge of Maritime IT and Cyber risk would be appreciated.
- Fluent in English.
- Already in a similar position in an international company.
