About Our Client

Our client is a leading Agribusiness infrastructure solutions provider, focusing on driving sustainable growth in Africa's agribusiness sector. They provide a full-scale operation of setting up and running agribusiness infrastructures and solutions for their clients. Due to the expansion of business and capital solutions available in the current market, they are seeking an Investment Director who can expand their portfolio of clients through their networks to drive sustainability and impact-based projects in Africa.

Job Description

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, you are required to carry out the below duties:

Investment Strategy & Execution:

• Develop and execute investment strategies focused on agribusiness, including primary production, agri-processing, and supply chain in Africa.
• Responsible for leading the finance structuring and negotiation of investment transactions.
• Manage the financial modeling, due diligence, and investment portfolio up to $1B USD.

• Monitor trends of agriculture and machinery investments in Africa, including market dynamics, trade policies, regulations, and technological advancements.
• Identify high-potential investment opportunities aligned with food security & sustainable agriculture practices.
• Build partnerships with government agencies, DFIs, and agribusiness stakeholders.

• Engage with C-suite investors, family offices, and impact investors to secure funding for agribusiness projects.
• Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking forums.
• Provide advisory support to portfolio companies on financial planning, expansion, and operational efficiencies.

The Successful Applicant

Minimum 15 years of experience as an Investment Director, preferably within investment banking, private equity, or agribusiness finance sectors.
Master's degree in Finance or Business Administration.
Strong understanding of private capital investments, project development, and M&A processes.
Excellent track record of leading and closing investments for agribusiness industrial infrastructures in Africa is required.
Strong experience with financial modeling, valuation, and deal structuring skills.
Excellent fluency in English is required; fluency in French is welcome.
Must be willing to travel across Africa based on business needs.
