Cartier International recruits a:

International Accessories and Leather Goods Collection Director - CDI

Reporting to the International Leather Goods & Accessories Marketing Director, as Collection Director, you define and implement, in line with the global marketing strategy and the ambitions of the Maison, the product and marketing strategy for Leather Goods, Eyewear and Scarves categories and their action plans. You are responsible for the collection plan, the performance of the product categories (business development) and the development of 360 activation plans.

You also ensure the coordination between all stakeholders of the 360 Marketing (Creation, Merchandising, Product Development, Manufacturing, Operations, Communication, Finance, Commercial, Training, Regions and Markets) to set conditions for success of the business and achievement of different objectives (financial, brand image, commercial performance, people, etc).

You will challenge and make evolve the organization and processes necessary to reach the ambitions for the Accessories and Leather Goods business.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Product strategy and 360 action plans

You develop the Maison's product strategy and 360 action plans for Leather Goods, Eyewear and Scarves

  • Definition of 3 to 5-year strategic plan in collaboration with the Marketing Director and other department managers.
  • Analysis of the performance of the categories both on a quantitative and qualitative analysis
  • Definition and lead of the 360 activation plan and 360 projects related to the product categories with the objective of supporting the business
  • Contribution to the definition and evolution of organizations to support the strategy.

Product offer

In line with the product strategy, you define and steer the Accessories and Leather Goods product offer

  • Sets collection plans and launch plans
  • Sets product plan including product mix (launches, animations, rationalization of ranges),
  • Initiates creative briefs and defines collection plan structures (collection structure, functionalities, prices).
  • Ensures the daily connection with the creative studio in all stages of creation: from the brief and its correct interpretation to the finalization of the product.
  • Guides and supports group managers and/or product managers during the product development phase.
  • Ensures coordination, communication and success of projects (with Creation, Development, Operations, Manufacturing) from brief to product development while guaranteeing their profitability.

Financial performance of products

You are co-responsible for the gross margin of products:

  • Sets objectives, challenges and validates the cost prices of novelties.
  • Sets world prices.
  • Co-pilots annual reviews of prices.
  • Guarantees the profitability of projects by defining prices and constantly seeking to optimize costs (novelties & range).

Management of the Product Category

You pilot the overall activity of your product categories

  • Analysis of the performance of the categories both on a quantitative and qualitative analysis
  • Defines sales assumptions to size activity in collaboration with the Merchandising and Operations teams.

Team Management

You manage a team of 7 people

  • Leads, engages and develops a team:
    • Embodies an inspiring and empowering management style
    • Supports career development and promotes performance: clarity of objectives, regular feedback, annual appraisals, career projections, etc.
    • Organizes, manages and prioritizes the team's workload
  • Proactively makes propositions to adapt organization and processes within the team.
  • Participates to recruitments and ensures the quality and success of onboardings.

PROFILE

After a Master’s degree in Marketing, Business Management or Political Studies, ideally complemented by a Fashion or Luxury course, you have more than 10 years of experience in in product marketing in the luxury sector including a mandatory experience in soft luxury. You have evolved in different types of structures and companies and in international environments.

Your past experiences include roles where you have successfully built collection plans and product offerings. You have both analytical skills and a strong product sensitivity. You are known for your leadership and your drive, you engage and federate, both your teams and transversally to achieve your goals. You are resourceful and agile in your ways of working and can challenge the status quo.

Fluent in French and English, Italian is a real advantage.
