Specifically, the independent permanent control team, seating in the Second Line of Defense, provides assurance activities across all risks and controls within HSBC’s non-financial and financial risk taxonomies. This team performs independent reviews on all inherent Medium and Low risks assessed under all the HBCE scope. The scope of these reviews covers of all the Businesses and Functions located in all HSBC Continental Europe countries.

What will you do?
The role contributes to the global standardised Assurance approach ensuring that it is aligned to the bank’s Risk Management Framework (RMF). It is responsible for contributing to the delivery of end-to-end assurance work over all risks (Resilience, Legal, Tax, Credit, …) and controls (except IT Risks). The role holder will also perform assurance activity related to ESG regulatory requirements, Business model and enterprises strategy (Stress testing, ICAAP, FRP…). Under the responsibility of the Risk function, your main activities will be mainly to prepare, realize and send conclusions (reviews reports) within Permanent Control reviews.

Contribute to the production of high quality assurance deliverables, through effective quality control at each stage of the assurance review life-cycle, e.g. Terms of Reference issuance, fieldwork completion and reporting.
