Installation Methods Engineer

Under the responsibility of the Engineering Lead, your main responsibilities will be to:

1. Manage technically an engineering team within projects/tenders
2. Be accountable for the planning of the scope of your team
3. Manage delegated external (clients, subcontractors) and internal interfaces (other disciplines, installation, SCM)
4. Serve as a technical reference for riser and mooring lines installation
5. Be involved in conceptual studies
6. Perform installation procedures for riser and mooring lines
7. Ensure that installation procedures and associated calculations are in line
8. Ensure that specifications and norms related to the project are respected
9. Provide support to offshore operations with possible short periods offshore or on yard
10. Participate actively in engineers training and development
11. Propose innovative solutions allowing cost & risks reduction
12. Operate within the Code of Conduct
13. Support standards and procedures for the Engineering and Operations Functions

Qualifications

1. MSc or PhD in mechanical engineering/hydrodynamics, with relevant work experience in the oil and gas industry or equivalent, with experiences of riser and mooring lines installation methods.
2. Proficiency in relevant engineering software.
3. Undertake responsibility for production of deliverables, which may include engineering support to Drafting Office, design calculations, specifications, procedures, analyses, progress reports, bid evaluations, study reports and various 3rd-party submissions.
4. Experience in working in a multi-disciplined system engineering team
5. Ability to prioritise own workload, manage time accordingly and inform team members where constraints will affect a project in terms of programme or budget.
6. Demonstrable ability to work within time/budget constraints
7. Significant experience in contractors’ management
8. Ability in working in multicultural group

Conditions

1. During the FEED phase, majority of the work will be carried out in the regional main office in Pau with frequent travels to Nigeria.
2. During the construction phase, the job will be based in Nigeria (rotational scheme).
